ABOUT ABOUT

Disney's version of Victor Hugo's classic tale!

Tully Arts Council’s theatrical company presents its thirteenth annual summer show, Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, at Homer High School’s state-of-the-art auditorium, August 3rd, 4th and 5th. [Tully’s parking lots are under construction and the buildings are inaccessible this summer, so our friends and partners in art to the south have been gracious enough to host us!]

This beautiful show is a classic piece of literature brought to life with the music of Stephen Schwartz and Alan Menken, two of the great composers of movies and the Broadway stage. Triple-threat actors known as Congregants portray a variety of parts, including monks, soldiers, gypsies, and gargoyles as they narrate the story of the damaged young man living in the bell tower of the great cathedral of Paris, watching the world down below him pass him by. A gifted cast and choir bring this heartbreakingly beautiful story to life—though set in 1482, it is hauntingly resonant of the world today.

This show may be too intense for children five and under, but it is a wild and emotional ride for anyone who makes time to see it! Music, magic, dance, and a spell-binding story, don’t miss this wonderful theatrical event!

Tickets are also available at the Tully ArtWorks box office, 5 Elm Street, Tully, NY
